The Electro-Harmonix Bassballs is a twin dynamic envelope follower for electric guitar and bass. The Bassballs uses two critically tuned, sweeping dynamic filters that respond sensitively to attack variations by creating shifting peaks and notches that produce vowel-like overtones. The switchable distortion mode intensifies the overtones and the deep resonance of the effect. The sensitivity control determines how the filters respond to playing dynamics.
