G&L Guitars have an impeccable reputation for building high quality instruments that provide ultimate playability and superior tones — the G&L Jerry Cantrell Rampage is no exception. Gear-Vault AXE writer, Mike O’Cull, provided us with the low-down on the G&L Jerry Cantrell Rampage Signature guitar back in October ’09–Check it out for more in-depth information !
Being this guitar is so inexpensive, it would make for a perfect guitar to ‘Frankenstein‘ and make your own. First thing I’d do to this guitar is rip it all apart down to the last screw. Then rout the body for a neck position humbucking pickup, drill a couple holes to fit a 5-way selector switch and a tone knob, and then send the body and neck in for a custom paint job. Why the neck? Because the headstock needs to match the color of the body. But hey, that’s just me. You can make it your own way–RAWK! Now check how inexpensive this G&L really is.
