Peavey Amplifiers Custom ShopPeavey is proud to announces that the company has expanded its award-winning amplification. The USA-based Peavey Custom Shop will now include custom-built amplifiers based on three all-new, hand-wired models; the Studio Special, Sensation and Masterpiece.

Based on Peavey’s groundwork of 44 years of amplifier design and building experience with more than 180 patents, Peavey Custom Shop builds amplifiers to spec based on point-to-point, hand-wired models that range from a single watt to 50-watts in both combo or head configurations. Components and cosmetics can be customized from pre-selected options or specified from a per-project basis, allowing players to design the perfect masterpiece to their playing styles.

Speaking of “masterpiece”, Peavey’s Masterpiece is a well-built 50-watt, two-channel, all tube amplifier that was designed to provide players with a variety of tones in both head or combo configurations. The Clean channel arrangement includes volume, treble, middle and bass controls with a bright switch, while the Overdrive channel utilizes the Clean channel and also adds two gain stages that achieve a very smooth, musical overdrive that ranges from slightly overdriven to thick overdrive lead tones. Gain trim and gain level controls add even more tone shaping options.

The Peavey Sensation is a sensational 20-watt amplifier available as either head or combo and employs three 12AX7 preamp tubes and two EL84 cathode-biased output tubes. The Sensation’s standard front-panel controls include pre gain, treble, middle, bass and post (master volume), with an optional spring reverb. The rear panel consist of dual speaker outputs with an impedance selector. Effects Send and Return jacks are included on models equipped with the optional effects loop feature.

The 1.5-watt Peavey Studio Special is ideal for recording studios and small rooms, allows players to achieve cranked amp sounds at a very manageable volume level. With the amps straightforward, single-channel layout design, the front panel includes volume, treble, middle and bass controls and a Fat switch to boost the midrange. The Peavey Studio Special is driven with two 12AX7 preamp tubes and one 12AU7 tube configured in class A/B for the power section.
