Iron man by Black Sabbath Guitar Tab

Iron Man by Black Sabbath Guitar Tabs Toni IommiIron Man by Black Sabbath is one of my 5 easy guitar songs because of the simple chord progression. Not only is this song easy to play, it sounds powerful. This song is the beginning of metal guitar. Since the songs release in 1970, a lot of notable bands have re-made a cover of “Iron Man.”  Iron Man has also been used in many TV show, films and, or course, sporting events. Since the 1976 release of Black Sabbath’s ‘We Sold Our Soul for Rock ‘n’ Roll‘ album, “Iron Man“, by no surprise, has been included in subsequent Black Sabbath greatest hits compilations. Even the sound track of the 2008 comic book film, Iron Man, included the “Iron Man” song. This song should be on everyone’s favorite “easy guitar songs to learn” list. Below is the guitar tab for Iron Man. This is a public guitar tab transcribed, but not original. There are many ways to play this song, and I believe Tony Iommi has played it different ways while performing live. Now stop reading and start learning this guitar song!

Easy Guitar Songs For Beginners

August 5, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

Easy Guitar Songs For BeginnersWhile you are at the absolute beginner stage of learning electric guitar, it is very important to learn full songs. Besides the obvious – that you can play the songs you learn for your friends – playing actual songs instead of scales or chord changes is mandatory, because it will make you a better player. You can’t learn timing and foot-tapping by drilling scales; you can’t learn strumming patterns by changing chords all the time. Things like these come only from playing songs—and playing them a lot. This article will show and explain how to play 3 very popular easy guitar songs and, perhaps more importantly, explain why you should learn them. Read more

Iron Maiden Guitar Lesson – Guitar Made Easy

July 19, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

adrian-smith-iron-maiden-guitar-lessonsAdrian Smith and Dave Murray developed the trademark Iron Maiden sound by combining their lead guitars to make dual solos. Smith left the band and was replaced by Janick Gers, but when Adrian Smith later rejoined Iron Maiden the trio setup was born. Adrian built his own style by fusing blues-influence licks, arpeggios and some modal playing. This combination gave him a more melodic sound, but at the same time maintained a blues-rock feel with the aggressive metal guitar sound. Read more

Beginner Guitar Lesson – Learn Notes on Each Guitar String

December 18, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

Beginner Guitar LessonMost beginners are eager to learn chords, after all that’s what songs are made of right? Unfortunately learning chords is a heck of a lot harder then it might look in a Youtube video, especially if you’re just starting out. The shapes can be difficult for your fretting hand to make and strumming while switching chords is an entirely different skill of its own.

Instead of rushing off to learn chords I suggest that all beginners first learn the notes on each guitar string. After all if chords are the things songs are made from, notes are the things chords are made from.

In this short beginner guitar lesson I’m going to share with you the pattern you need to understand not only in music, but also on the guitar neck, to know what notes are where and how to find your way around. The concept is all based on some very simple musical theory found on the piano. Read more
