putting mesa boogie tubes in a peavey 6505+ Amp Head?

It would work if all the specs line up but the sound would not necessarily be the same. the tubes works in juction with the speakers so if you want a Mesa Boogie sound you should use the same speaker and tube arrangement. P.S. Mesa Boogie rocks, my buddy has a half stack but I use the Steve Vai Legacy half stack by Carvin

No. It doesnt sound like a Mesa Boogie. I put Mesa tubes in my 6505+ and it just darkens up the sound a bit more. Slightly different gain breakup and a little tighter bottom end is what you will get. Nothing will sound like a Mesa but a Mesa.
